The Farmhouse "I Romiti" is a splendid 19th century farmhouse, which has been recently restored (April 2000), and is situated on the borders of Umbria and Tuscany, between the lake of Chiusi and Lake Trasimeno, in the area of Bruscalupo. This is the area where the majority of archaeological finds have been made in the territory of Castiglione del Lago, dating back from the V to II century B.C
It enjoys beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. It is also conveniently situated for visiting the most important historical cities in Umbria and Tuscany.
The green rolling hills and the peace and tranquillity of the place, together with owner's warm and welcoming hospitality make it the ideal place for an enjoyable holiday.
The farmhouse is part of a 40 hectare farming estate which produces oil, wine, vin santo (a sweet desert wine), fruit and vegetables.
On the ground floor there are four apartments
(to see details) of various sizes which sleep a total of 17 people.
The apartments also have central heating, a safe, a TV satellite, a telephone, a provider for internet.
Outside every apartment, a small private garden area with table, chairs, umbrella and barbeque so that our guests can have fun cooking and eating their meals out-doors.
On the first floor there are 5 spacious double bedrooms, comfortably furnished with good taste, all of the rooms have a bathroom with shower, a safe and a TV satellite.
If requested, a spacious independent outdoor kitchen, can be used by a group of guests who, if they wish, can enjoy their meals under a large gazebo, or alternatively, call in caterers for receptions, coffee breaks, parties....
There is a communal lounge available for the guests' use with a characteristic fireplace, a reading room with a wide choice of brochures and magazines about places of interest in Umbria and Tuscany and with cultural and eno-gastronomic itineraries prepared exclusively for the guests by the owners.
In our agri-tourism, there is a 1 hectare park with a playground, bowling, table tennis and a swimming pool 7x15.
There is also archery and mountain-bikes can be rented.
For the year 2001, there will be a tennis court, five-a-side football, a small fitness centre and a restaurant.
2 km away is a riding school with qualified instructors.
